Mary has crashed a dinner party and has shown her love for Jesus by pouring a whole pint of expensive perfume on His feet. She is drying Jesus' feet with her hair.
1 Sáu ngày trước lễ Vượt-qua, Đức Chúa Jêsus đến thành Bê-tha-ni, nơi La-xa-rơ ở, là người Ngài đã khiến sống lại từ kẻ chết.2 Người ta đãi tiệc Ngài tại đó, và Ma-thê hầu-hạ; La-xa-rơ là một người trong đám ngồi đồng bàn với Ngài.3 Bấy giờ, Ma-ri lấy một cân~ dầu cam-tùng-hương thật, rất quí giá, xức chân Đức Chúa Jêsus, và lấy tóc mình mà lau; cả nhà thơm nức mùi dầu đó.4 Nhưng Giu-đa Ích-ca-ri-ốt, là một môn-đồ về sau phản Ngài, nói rằng:5 Sao không bán dầu thơm đó lấy ba trăm đơ-ni‑ê đặng bố-thí cho kẻ nghèo? ---_6 Người nói vậy, chẳng phải lo cho kẻ nghèo đâu, song vì người vốn là tay trộm-cắp, và giữ túi bạc, trộm lấy của người ta để ở trong._---7 Đức Chúa Jêsus đáp rằng: Hãy để mặc người, người đã để dành dầu thơm nầy cho ngày chôn xác ta.8 Vì các ngươi thường có kẻ nghèo ở với mình, còn ta, các ngươi không có ta luôn luôn.
Luke 7
36 One of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee's house and took his place at the table.37 And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was reclining at table in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment,38 and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment.39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner.”
