17 Một ngày kia, Đức Chúa Jêsus đang dạy-dỗ, có người Pha-ri-si~ và mấy thầy dạy luật từ các làng xứ Ga-li-lê, xứ Giu-đê, và thành Giê-ru-sa-lem đều đến, ngồi tại đó, quyền-phép Chúa ở trong Ngài để chữa lành các bịnh.18 Bấy giờ, có mấy người khiêng một kẻ đau bại trên giường, kiếm cách đem vào để trước mặt Đức Chúa Jêsus.19 Nhân vì người ta đông lắm, không biết bởi đâu mà qua, họ bèn trèo lên mái nhà, dỡ ngói ra, dòng người và giường nhỏ xuống trước mặt Ngài, giữa đám đô-hội.20 Đức Chúa Jêsus thấy đức-tin của họ, bèn phán rằng: Hỡi người, tội-lỗi ngươi đã được tha.21 Các thầy thông-giáo và người Pha-ri-si bèn nghị-luận rằng: Người nầy là ai mà nói phạm-thượng vậy? Ngoài Đức Chúa Trời, há có ai tha tội được sao?22 Nhưng Đức Chúa Jêsus biết ý‑tưởng họ, cất tiếng phán rằng: Các ngươi nghị-luận gì trong lòng?23 Nay nói rằng: Tội ngươi đã được tha, hoặc rằng: Ngươi hãy đứng dậy mà đi, thì bên nào dễ hơn?24 Vả, hầu cho các ngươi biết Con người ở thế-gian có quyền tha tội: Ngài phán cùng kẻ bại rằng: Ta biểu ngươi đứng dậy, vác giường trở về nhà.25 Tức thì kẻ bại đứng dậy trước mặt chúng, vác giường mình đã nằm, và đi về nhà, ngợi-khen Đức Chúa Trời.26 Ai nấy đều sững-sờ, ngợi-khen Đức Chúa Trời; và sợ-sệt lắm mà nói rằng: Hôm nay chúng ta đã thấy những việc dị-thường.
Mark 2
1 And when he returned to Capernaum after some days, it was reported that he was at home.2 And many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even at the door. And he was preaching the word to them.3 And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men.4 And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay.5 And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”6 Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts,7 “Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”8 And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you question these things in your hearts?9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’?10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic—11 “I say to you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home.”12 And he rose and immediately picked up his bed and went out before them all, so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”
Matthew 9
1 And getting into a boat he crossed over and came to his own city.2 And behold, some people brought to him a paralytic, lying on a bed. And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven.”3 And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man is blaspheming.”4 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?5 For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise and walk’?6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he then said to the paralytic—“Rise, pick up your bed and go home.”7 And he rose and went home.8 When the crowds saw it, they were afraid, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
