Description
Moses stands above a wilderness stream as the people of Israel gather at the water’s edge, with palm trees, rocky hills, and the long encampment stretching through the desert behind them. A cut tree lies across the rushing water, pointing to the moment at Marah when the bitter waters were made sweet after the Lord showed Moses a tree to cast into them. The scene belongs to Israel’s early journey after the exodus, where thirst exposed the people’s need and God answered with provision, testing, and instruction. The tree in the water becomes the central sign of divine healing: what could not sustain life is transformed by the word and mercy of God. This artwork is well suited for teaching on Exodus, wilderness faith, God’s provision, obedience, and the Lord who heals His people.
